Babu Singh Kushwaha

Babu Singh Kushwaha is an Indian politician from the Bahujan Samaj Party in Uttar Pradesh. He is one of Mayawati's most trusted "backroom boys",[1] and a senior member of the UP cabinet.

On April 7, 2011, he was forced to resign[2] after being implicated in the murder of two Chief Medical officers BP Singh and VK Arya.[3] Both were shot dead by two assassins on motorcycles, in central Lucknow, in broad daylight. The same gun had been used in both cases.[4] It was alleged that their honesty was coming in the way of a political mafia who were skimming off large sums from the Health services.[3]
